It’s been a challenging month. I’ve been allowing people’s opinions to get the better of me and letting their doubt become my doubt. I started having thoughts like ‘what if I’m just wasting my life’ and feeling unsure of myself but you know what? I allowed myself to have a pity party for myself and now I’m back in the game! No-one is going to make me question my future and what I should be doing. Yeah, I didn’t finish uni, so what? I had my reasons for it and I’m STILL doing exactly what I planned to do. Don’t get me wrong I’m not against uni but I am against someone trying to tell me that I will never make something of myself because I don’t have a degree because from where I am standing, I am starting to make something off myself WITHOUT a degree.
I got an official letter sent to my house. I was a bit nervous to open it because it’s usually bad news but it was a copyright certificate from USA, Library of Congress for my book! Woo hoo! Got to frame that at some point.
Someone hacked into my email and sent an email requesting money because apparently I was stuck in Cyprus. I found it so funny because I was with Aleta when she got the email from me. Anyway the police and fraud got involved but Microsoft with it’s billion dollar industry refused to close down my account! Managed to retrieve it and the silly person’s email was all there for me to see, so now fraud have it 😀
I went to Breakin’ Convention 10 year anniversary. OMG the UK Night was so good. Zoonation, honestly just blow my mind. How can 2 people just fill up the stage like that? The choreo, their presence was amazing. I was thinking the whole time, that’s how you put on a show, absolutely amazing and I saw these bone breakers from Brooklyn. It was so disgusting. They were like contortionists or something and apparently they all taught themselves to be that double jointed. Yuck! Rosie kept screaming and shouting at ‘demons’ lool
Prior to going to BC, I went to a jam in the park. It was pretty fun, just chillin with my girls but then one half of Les Twins came! You know the twins that dance on Beyoncé’s tour? I think this one was Laurent, he is really cute. But you know me, Miss cool. I couldn’t ask for a picture! So I took one from afar and zoomed in 😉 The picture is below so you know I’m not lying. I watched a documentary about them on Sunday night so I’m officially obsessed. I knew there was a reason why I love France so much.
The After Party was pretty good. First time I ever went. The vibe was pretty cool but the music started getting more and more mellow, I was thinking where’s the party at? I need some Meek Mill in my life.
Emily Knight book 2 is going well. Still at the editing phase. Gosh, I hate editing but it’s looking better and stronger every week. Still trying to find out how to make the book more commercial as I keep getting TV interest for the first book so praying someone will help me.
Off to Birmingham in a few weeks to spend time with Naomi and to get out of London for a bit. Been stressing out so much lately, I need an excuse to relax. Plus we’re going to see The Great Gatsby, so excited to go. My Aunt invited me to Liverpool for half term, I asked how much tickets were, she said £70 return! Err I can go to Paris for that price.
