There have been a number of huge releases in the past couple of weeks, so I wanted to make sure that one of my favorites didn’t slip through the cracks.
Ryan Blank put out his most straight-forward, efficient, and consistent EP, to date. The new vide EP, Rituals, is a tight and concise four tracks. With numerous sonic references to peak acid, the collection of tunes is super focused, and goes right down the pipe with dubstep, halftime and hip-hop with no monkeying around. Blank is seriously ready to rock his shit with you. Each of the tracks slays its selected genre or genres, but each is vastly different.
The only collab on the album is “reflection” with Saka, and by gum… wouldn’t ya know it? Both of these guys are slated to make an appearance at The Untz Festival this summer.
