Just in time for the new year, Uncle Murda caps off 2023 with the latest installment of his yearly Rap Up series.
Produced by Great John, the Brooklyn rapper wittingly recaps some of 2023’s biggest headlines while sending shots to a endless names in the game.
In reference to 3 Stacks’ new album, Murda raps, “André 3000 finally put some shit out/ Honestly, he was better off not putting shit out / I was tryna catch a vibe but I just couldn’t catch the shit/ All he did was play flute, I wish he woulda said some shit.”
Elsewhere, Uncle M touches on Megan The Stallion and Tory Lanez (“Meg Thee Stallion out here saying she no longer for the streets / Tory got 10 years for shooting that ho in her feet.”) as well as Blueface, Young Thug, Gunna, Cardi B, Nicki Minaj, Sexyy Redd, and Elliott Wilson among many others.
“Nicki husband was really outside waiting on Offset / Nicki did 220K when her shit dropped,” he continues. “Meek and Ross did 31K, their shit flopped / Elliott Wilson was saying a lot on Kai Cenat / ‘Cause Nicki went on Kai platform when her shit dropped / Elliott was like, ‘This not what Hip Hop about’ / Nicki told Elliott get JAY-Z dick out his mouth.”
And if that was not enough, Murda has since added more to the song with two additional installments.
For Part 2, he gives his take on Diddy’s controversial allegations. “You was an icon, nigga, you ruined it / Diddy documentary coming out, 50 Cent shooting it / I think it’s called did he not, or did he do the shit”, he raps before wrapping things up with Part 3 where he addresses everyone from 6ix9ine and DJ Envy to A$AP and Rihanna, and more.
Aside from his “Rap Up 2022” in January, Uncle M kept a low profile for most of the year with a few guest feature spots including “Thiccer Than Water” alongside Dave East.
