Ujuu is ‘Searching’ for the new sound for Solace Family

By: Anand Harsh

Isaac Schaffer just does not stop hustling. UJÜŪ made his debut at The Untz Festival this year, along with several others including Lost Lands, Bass Canyon,Yonderville, and Sol Fest. His back to back with jordnmoody was a highlight of the weekend, but fans across the country are continuously impressed with his output and dedication to the culture. He’s starting a new bass music weekly in his hometown on Indianapolis, which kicks off November 30th at The Patron Saint with LYNY, Protial, and he’ll be playing a special Augmentation set.

Augmentation is the latest compilation from Solace Family, the label Ujuu co-founded, and features Adiios, SAINT MILLER, Sterfry, Viskus, Fluent, and the aforementioned jordnmoody (who did all the mastering on the comp), among others. I’m telling you this guy has been busy. He leads off the compilation with “Searching,” a drippy west coast slapper that hits all our erogenous zones for wonky, weird, and wobbly as all get out.

UJÜŪ is making a big play for hearts and minds in the coming year, and this Augmentation compilation highlighting the whole crew is an inflection point that will set the trajectory for 2023. Look for this stack of tunes around the ball drop.
