“The Wound” is now revealed! 28 meters high and 33 meters wide, JR’s monumental installation is a visual gash on the façade of Palazzo Strozzi, which opens up to the vision of a real and imagined interior. It is a reflection on accessibility not only to Palazzo Strozzi but to all places of culture in the era of Covid-19.

These last few months, we have been deprived from the possibility to be together… but we still have the freedom to dream, to create, to envision the future.
