Shanghai Doom has a lot of friends in high places—but now they’re all crashing into a far-flung planet together.
The high-powered bass duo’s new EP, Collision, is coming out February 19th on Underdog Records with four collaborators: Protohype, XTALS, Smoakland, and today’s special feature, Toadface.
Todd Holler joins the boys for the neck-snapping hitter “Blasters,” that blends Shanghai’s penchant for technically produced trap and Toadface’s otherworldly bass blasts.
Here’s what Mike and Andrew had to say about the EP: “Shanghai Doom is already one big collaborative project between the two of us, so it’s always fun to add more producers into the mix to see what we come up with.”
We’re loving this particular combo, but the consistency and dynamism runs through all four songs. Really digging this energy from the guys who are tasteful, prolific, and on the pulse of what’s what in the underground bass scene.
