It’s been more than two years since Benji Hannus put out an EP. But I promise you, the wait is well worth it.
Secret Recipe‘s Mind Overload lands on Wormhole Music Group this Groundhog’s Day, February 2, but it’s anything but the same old sound over and over again.
Hannus’ sound has evolved significantly over the past two years, and his production game keeps stepping up. Today, we premiere his three-way collab with Asteroids and Earthquakes and Zimbu. “Pendulate” combines Blair McGroiry‘s textured drums and bass synths, David Westbom‘s psychedelic leanings, and Hannus’ penchant for heavy, glitchy tunes.
What’s even more exciting about this combo is that all three acts will be playing The Untz Festival (whenever that may be happening). While we wait for news, fans can check out the Wormhole live stream on February 3, the day after the EP drops, featuring Secret Recipe and friends, and then a full video for this track will be out February 9th from Matthew Childers, a.k.a. Digital Introspect, who also created the jaw-dropping artwork for the release.
