Ranz shows off his chops on ‘Honey Time’ for Wormhole

At this point I’m not even surprised when my Wormhole Music Group brothers lay-up some absolute smokers in my inbox. Their latest find is Montreal’s Eric Boucher who has been grinding on his craft for a few years now. With some interesting flips and originals in his bag of tricks, Wormhole picked him up for the release of his Foundation EP coming out August 23rd on our partners’ label.

Today we premiere “Honey Time,” which uses some real rock ‘n’ roll techniques to setup the intro which then drops into some cavernous halftime. I’m getting some serious TRAKA vibes, which made me check to see if this was a YUKU release before I remembered “but of course, Wormhole has its ears on the worldwide experimental scene as good as anyone else.”

The rest of the release is just as sludgy and stunning with real hefty halftime hooks that will turn the heads of producers, but also appeal to the masses of fans who want some grit with their headbanging.
