Mooij EP brings Deadmau5 and Pryda Flavours

Mooij EP brings Deadmau5 and Pryda Flavours

Today, Mooij (pronounced ‘Moy’), from Mexico, brings you his latest EP titled, “Prime.”

The EP has a fire and heat that can only be placed alongside the work of Deamau5 and Pryda, which is a huge statement in itself. Assuming the work is original and not much sampling going on, he is one seriously talented sound designer.  From the intensity of “Move yo waste-line” to the subtitles in “Love & Hate,” this EP is going to be MASSIVE.

Forgoing a lucrative career in industrial design, Mooij opted for a chance to champion the underground sounds of house music. As a native Mexican DJ, he felt the local electronic music community could use some nurturing, so he started his own label, Loudroom Recordings, which is now Mexico’s top-selling label on Beatport and has given many underground producers a chance at international exposure.

Clearly his hard work is paying off, because at last year’s EDC Mexico, he performed with his duo Icarus Fly on the main stage, and his most recent EP ‘Electro Techno’, a collab with Canadian techno pioneer JELO, landed at #5 on Beatport’s Electro House chart.

I’m pretty excited to see where this ‘Moy’ venture lands up…
