Hercules DJControl Inpulse T7: a motorized Serato DJ controller for $700?

It might be a bit quiet at NAMM this year in the DJ space, but one of the strong contenders for best product drop comes from Hercules DJ. They’ve been working hard to get their controllers on the map of DJs looking for more affordable and unique units than offered by competition brands. Today’s announcement of the DJControl Inpulse T7 adds on to that – with the big feature combo being motorized platters and a price tag of just $700.

The DJControl Inpulse T7 is a lightweight unit, thanks to its belt-driven motor mechanism. While some DJs may initially be skeptical about the belt-driven approach, but considering we saw DJs like Craze and Mojaxx both seemingly impressed by the tightness of the platters, performance doesn’t seem to be an issue. The belts are user-replaceable and adjustable, providing customization and ease of maintenance. Additionally, the controller accommodates standard 7″ vinyl records, eliminating the need to modify your favorite vinyl for the purpose of putting it on a controller.

Seamless Integration with Serato DJ and Stems Control

Designed with the latest release of Serato DJ in mind, the Inpulse T7 offers seamless integration and innovative controls. The controller features two different Stems controls: a performance pad mode, where each pad toggles one of the four stems on and off, and a pair of buttons for quickly transforming a track into an instrumental or vocal-only version.

Availability and Pricing

The Hercules DJControl Inpulse T7 is set to hit the market in late June with a competitive price of $700. We suspect it’ll be pretty attractive to DJs who still crave that motorized feel but don’t want to shell out the big bucks for something like a Pioneer DJ DDJ-REV7 .
