Mitski – “Francis Forever (Ryan Hemsworth Remix)”

Posted on:

Ryan Hemsworth’s Secret Songs compilations are always solid. But when Hemsworth himself decides gets involved, the pot is sweetened considerably. Mitski’s feather-light vocals seem tailor-made for Hemsworth’s toolbox of chimes and pitch-bends. “Francis Forever” was originally written as a straight rock song, a heartsick anthem full of sass and funk. This rework swaps out Mitski’s […] The post Mitski – “Francis Forever (Ryan Hemsworth Remix)” appeared first on Pigeons & Planes.

They’re definitely not appropriate for every rapper, in fact many would be overwhelmed by the production, but when someone with the right energy and flow is found the results are brilliant. Danny Brown is the best example of this—check out “Attak”—and now UK MC Kano proves he has the magic on […] The post Listen to Kano and Rustie’s Bombastic “Hail” appeared first on Pigeons & Planes.

Kim Kardashian Debuts Platinum Blonde Hair, Harry Potter Memes Flourish [Photos]

Posted on:

Well it appears that boredom has beset Kim Kardashian into having a chance encounter with a bottle of peroxide. As she and her husband Kanye West gallivanted around Paris as they headed towards the Balmain Fashion Show, the pesky paparazzi snapped Kardashian as she made sure to show off her new platinum blonde hairstyle for the cameras. Of course, the Internets had fun with this one, mainly likening her to Harry Potter characters. Although passionate Kardashian stans took to Twitter to express their disdain for the new look, Kanye stood confidently right by her side. In his recent interview with The Breakfast Club, he defended his wife’s right to get naked as many times as she pleased. It’s doubtful a…

Devonté Hynes – “Delancey”

Posted on:

Devonté Hynes is going back to his roots. The Blood Orange frontman brings a cello (his first instrument) to the table on “Delancey,” a new song recorded this week in New York. It’s a sparse, moody track that showcases Dev’s falsetto and ear for melody. Running at just 02:15, this is still just a demo.
