Point Blank have teamed up with Brighton Music Conference to offer all our students an exclusive opportunity to get involved and help shape their 2015 event in a special focus group. The group session will be happening this Wednesday 18th February in Studio 3 from 6:30pm-8:30pm, and in return for your participation, you’ll get some great perks:

  1. Free passes for BMC 2015
  2. The chance for two students to join BMC’s Student Advisory Board, which brings with it the opportunity to increase your artist profile and make some valuable connections with a wide range of music industry contacts

There’s more info below, but if you want in send our Marketing Manager Matt an e-mail – we can then provide further info and reserve a slot for you in the group. Be quick though – there are only a handful of slots available!

Brighton Music Conference 2015 takes place on 5th & 6th of June at the Brighton Dome, and various other venues in the city

Brighton Music Conference is the leading annual electronic music conference in the UK created by the industry for the industry. Each year, the event hosts its popular BMC Academy, which is aimed at those just starting out or looking to break into the industry. There’ll be two days of masterclasses, panels and talks covering everything from DJing, production, publishing, sound, piracy prevention, events, marketing and new technology. Last year a whole host of different electronic artists held masterclasses and talks, including Dave Clarke, DJ Pierre and Bill Brewster.

During the focus groups – which are hosted by experienced music industry professionals – you’ll be asked about the following topics among others:

  1. Talks from leading artists, DJs, labels and music industry professionals
  2. How to network in the music industry
  3. How to promote your music on YouTube, Facebook and beyond
  4. How to run your own events
  5. How to send demos to labels
  6. How to manage the business aspects of your music career tax, accounting and business development
  7. How to get the best out of software, hardware, and other electronic music services to make your music
  8. What career options are available to you after you’ve finished your course, and how to get the music job you want

If the above sounds like it’s of interest to you, get in touch with Point Blank Marketing Manager Matt as soon as possible to reserve your space!
