Think this was Christmas 2003. GFS had battered High St Kensington tube and I was passing through first thing on Boxing Day and saw it all. The station manager was on his radio saying about how much damage got done and then he saw this and looked so gutted I almost felt sorry for him.
Calcutta metro runners
Are these the first panels in service on the Kolkata (Calcutta) metro?? It’s running on line 1 of the 5 lines. Surely Banos or Chintz has done this system already? Anyone got flicks? From wiki: “All the stations are equipped with closed-circuit cameras, metal detectors, and X-ray baggage scanners, making the metro the safest form of transport in Kolkata. The taking of photographs, eating, drinking and smoking are all prohibited on the metro premises.”
