Oshi strikes again #notsurprised

Posted on:

If you thought the name of everybody’s lips was Oshi before, well it just got slightly more cray.Young 16 y/o oshi is back with two new heaters, and per usual always keeping everyone on their toes with unique forward thinking production. Already in 20k soundcloud followers in a few short, what feels like weeks, he’s now coming in hot with a fresh new take on Soulection’s rising star Sam Gellaitry’s track,  “to earth and back.” Amazingly enough, his remix is almost passing the originals traction *cue gasp for air.*As well, he also dropped a fresh new original titled ‘Mustard,’ as an ode to the iconic beatmaker. The track features melodic keys, coupled…

A far cry from cliché beats w/ Whitney Fierce – The Night Air

Posted on:

I present to you, a very very tight understated track from Whitney Fierce. If you haven’t heard of Whitney Fierce yet, the coming months may prove her impossible to ignore.”Rock It Science Labs” is proud to present the debut solo EP from Los Angeles’ luminary Whitney Fierce entitled “The Broken Car Window EP.” This release defines her self-styled “Dream House” sound – subtle, sexy, and deep.  Kicking the EP off today with it’s lead single “The Night Air,” the songstress combines moody chimes, strings, and basslines with intricate percussion while her vocals recall a warm night in her Corvette. Eric Sharp takes the tune in a brighter, more upbeat …

Flip – Reflections (Album)

Posted on:

Austrian hip-hop producer Flip just released his album “Reflections” on February 17th and it’s really good. The album features guest appearances from AG (of DITC), EDO. G, Killah Priest, Guilty Simpson, Kev Brown, LMNO, Tragic Allies and many others with all production (and some of the scratching as well) being handled by Flip himself. I’m not quite sure what my favorite track is just yet, but “Dreaming” with AG is definitely getting a lot of play and has been since the video dropped. Anyways, make sure you peep the album stream below then head on over iTunes and cop the full album if you are feelin’ it.

Odesza – All We Need (Haywyre Remix)

Posted on:

Vancouver’s Haywyre just capped off his prosperous nine date Two Fold Tour, and he is feeling generous as he just released his free remix of Odesza’s “All We Need” as a thank you to his fans. Over the years, he’s showcased an eclectic style that draws from all corners of music, while keeping a strong hold on the electronic music of today and tomorrow. Haywyre’s “All I Need” remix is a perfect example of this as he merges soul and funk with a modern dance music touch, using a 4/4 beat as a backbone for his impressive production and musicianship. Although I love Erick Sermon’s production I have say Large Professor boom bap style is my cup of tea.
