‘ I’m on my Worst Behaviour’

Posted on:

One word. Drake. He is amazing!! I wasn’t expecting him to be amazing but he was bloody amazing!! Wasn’t really looking forward to him but OMG he can shut it down. His energy on stage, from beginning to end and I swear he sang every song he has ever done. It felt like the best party you would ever go to. I don’t even fancy Drake but when he brought a girl on stage from the audience, I felt very possessive of him. Chelsea looked like she was going to explode. It was so hilarious. I actually don’t know what I would do if I was called …

Squarepusher just announced a new album

Posted on:

I have been spending a lot of time recently listening to UK electro-maestro Squarepusher. Notorious for his intense, expansive tracks and dazzling live performances, I was delighted by the news that he’s just announced a new album! The artist, real name Tom Jenkinson, has revealed that his new album will be called ‘Damogen Furies’ and it’s coming out on April 20 on Warp Records. This, incidentally, is the day before my birthday, so I’m pretty chuffed about that. It’s Squarepusher’s first full album since 2012’s ‘Ufabulum,’ and follows on from his 2014 EP ‘Music For Robots.’ It was largely recorded on the road over the last two years, using special portable studio equipment in…

Tom Caruana – An Adventure To Pepperland Through Rhyme & Space

Posted on:

Been waiting for this for awhile and it’s finally here. One of my favorite producers Tom Caruana has just released another collection worthy remix album. Like his previous 2010 album “Wu Tang vs The Beatles” Caruana matches samples from The Beatles with vocals from some Hip Hop’s greatest legends from the 1990’s. “This album reveals the band journeyed through the doors of perception much earlier than previously thought and worked with everyone from P.E. to Spoonie Gee, Tha Liks to Hieroglyphics and Large Professor to Salt n Pepa. Among others. Frankly, it’s a helter skelter ride from ‘mop-top hip-hop’ to ‘let it beats’ – or perhaps we should think of it as ‘blunted rappers mashed with drug-fried band’ …

Phatplastic – The Music – Sneakers – Art Mixtape

Posted on:

First things first…Apologizes to all! I fell ill last week and really took a turn for the worst on Tuesday night with fever thus I was bed ridden for a few days and didn’t come online until Friday afternoon. I missed Thursday’s post for the week. The first time within the last five years since returning to the blogging in 2010. Anyhow I am now returning to good health so back to the good music. Dope mix! I absolutely love these kind of mixes. A sweet collection of funky tunes from different genres all combined into one fabulous mix. MindsOne x DJ Iron – A Day In The Life (Single)

Posted on:

KON Sci and Tronic (better known as MindsOne) come through with the first single from their collaborative EP with Belgian hip-hop producer DJ Iron. The song is called “A Day In The Life” and it’s real dope, with MindsOne doing their thing over a head-nodding DJ Iron production. Be on the lookout for the full EP, “Phaseology”, which is set to drop sometime this spring. For now, however, you can preorder the limited edition vinyl of “A Day In The Life” over on the groups Bandcamp site.

ChillxWill feat. BriskInThehouse – "911 (Platoon Remix)

Posted on:

ChillxWill is an emcee hailing from Tacoma, Washington who just dropped his crazy third solo album, “Almighty”, earlier today on Ill Adrenaline Records. The album is banging and finds ChillxWill rhyming about a variety of topics over head-nodding boom-bap instrumentals that sound like they came straight out of the 90’s. In order to celebrate the albums release, Ill Adrenaline decided to drop an exclusive CD/cassette bonus track from the album in the form of a remix for the song “911”. The original version is one of my favorite songs on the entire album , but this remix by BreakerHUS is pretty nice as well. Check out the remix…
