Bread Winner and BackLeft get together for ‘Chonky Bupkis’

By: Anand Harsh

It’s rare that a newcomer to our feeds makes multiple appearances within a month of their debut, but in the case of Bread Winner, his sound is so rad we just had no choice.

Less than a month ago, “Jazz Cat” landed on our page, and fans went nuts. Bread Winner’s “elastofunk” sound blending neuro production with a jazzy bass lick won over all of our hearts and minds, and I was salivating to bring back another tune of his to the feed.

Enter “Chonky Bupkis,” his collab with fellow Denver-ite BackLeft. It’s another speaker slapper with neuro elements that finds its groove in a near breakbeat with some really impressive bass synth maneuvering. Those wubby stretches and multi-frequency blasts really get me. This is perfect for fans of kLL sMTH, Keota, and Jade Cicada.

I’m already anticipating the next one from these two. Bread Winner has made such a big impact in such a short amount of time, he’s already become something of a fan favorite.
