It’d be ridiculous if the experimental bass EP of the year came out on January 1st, but if 2020 and its subsequent hell twin 2021 have taught us anything—nothing is impossible.
Resonant Language burst into the New Year with Gut Wrench, a four-track EP with pound-for-pound some of the heaviest, craziest, and most technical production I’ve heard in a while. Between “Squeaky Shoes,” “F.D.A.T.,” the title track, and closer “Lunge,” Denver’s Resonant Language has secured his position among the American neuro, halftime, and glitch upper crust alongside Jade Cicada, Restraint, and Detox Unit in the Tipper Elite Squad. These tunes will blow your brain out the back of your skull. Ya know, in a good way.
This bad boy is out now on Mike Wallis’ Colony Productions. If it’s good enough for Osmetic, you know it’s damn quality material.
