Jim Jones Brushes Off Airport Fighting Incident

Jim Jones seems to have rapidly moved on from an incident which saw him involved in a scuffle at a Florida airport over the weekend.

On Saturday evening (May 4), TMZ published a video that shows the Dipset capo fighting two men while on an escalator, reportedly at Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport.

As the three men reach the bottom of the escalator, two officers from the Broward County Sherriff’s Office break up the scuffle. As one pull a cooperative Jones away to a seating area, the rapper claims that he was defending himself, arguing, “It’s two of them against me.”

Moments later, the Harlem rapper took to Instagram in a since delete post, which he captioned: “To all my family I am good love yal way to many calls n text to reply to God is good.”

He goes on to reassure his loved ones in the clip, saying: “I’m aight, I gotta get dressed for this party, man. I’ll be right with y’all. Promise you, promise you: I’m aight.”

When he came back to IG, however, Jimmy had moved on with his evening, and wanted to focus on the aforementioned party, which he was hosting at Taboo nightclub in Miami.

“And the show must go on, ya heard,” he says in a new video. “Taboo, tonight, you know where I’m at. Yeah, fuck all that other shit. Pull up on me. We gon’ have a celebration. Life is life.”

Jim Jones last encounter in an airport was of a way more pleasant, playful and positive nature.

It saw him continue on his mission to promote his signature sunglasses by seeding them to celebrities for a while now, adding a new one to the list: Boosie Badazz.

The glasses, a collaboration between Jim’s Vamp Life and the Vintage Frames Company, have been gifted to FabolousMemphis Bleek, Ja Rule, and many more. So when Jones recently ran into Boosie at an unnamed airport, there was only one thing to do.

Jones passed Boosie the glasses, noting that they would be perfect for the next time he was sitting courtside at an NBA game.

Life hasn’t just been about self-promotion for Jones lately though.

In March, he and Jadakiss stood side-by-side with healthcare workers as they marched to the governor’s office.

Back in January, the 1199SEIU healthcare workers union called upon the governor to stop under-paying hospitals on Medicaid claims. Under the current administration, only 70 percent of all Medicaid hospital bills are paid, and the union is calling for an end to this practice.
