Quavo Gives Back With Huncho Farms Turkey & Food Drive

Quavo has given back to the less fortunate in his hometown of Atlanta, providing those in needs with the makings of a proper Thanksgiving feast.

A statement sent to HipHopDX announced that the Migos rapper launched Honcho Farms on Monday (November 20), with a pre-Thanksgiving an open-air farmers market for families, in partnership with his Quavo Cares Foundation and Urban Recipe.

In celebration of his new venture and as an example of the work Huncho Farms intends to continue doing, the “Hotel Lobby” rapper was able provided meals for more than 300 families in need.

Atlanta Hawks player Josh Smith was in attendance, helping out at the home goods stand. Meanwhile, Quavo and his family were handing out turkeys, and volunteers from local mutual aid organizations were handing out sides and vegetables.

Attendees were also treated to a live cooking demonstration by Chef Brown of Chef Brown Catering, access to resources such as information on food stamps, and services provided by local non-profits Second Helpings, Food Well, Atlanta Community Food Bank, Westside Future Fund, and Chris 180.

The day before the food drive, Quavo dropped the Huncho Farms Cookbook, an initiative of his Quavo Cares non-profit, in partnership with Urban Recipe and Atlanta Community Food Bank. Along with family recipes, there are also tons of healthy cooking tips – and it’s all available for a free download here.

The families who attended the Huncho Farms event were gifted a hard copy of the cookbook as well as fresh produce and hygiene products.

“It’s very important to give back,” Quavo told the Atlanta Journal-Constitution while at Monday’s event. “We came from nothing, so it’s only right that we give back to the people that have nothing or have less. We just try to help the best way we can. This is just a small portion to the big things that we’re doing.”

On the music side of things, Quavo recently hinted that there may be a sequel on the way to his joint project with Travis Scott.

The former Migos member got fans excited in September when he took to Instagram to respond to a thread that celebrated Travis’ achievements, while subtly suggesting the possibility of an imminent release.

“That’s tuff next one loading….. battery up,” he wrote, accompanied by a full battery emoji.

“Huncho Jack SO slept on shit is amazing,” read one response to the subtle announcement.
