Johnny Cocoa Drops “Green Light” Music Video

Beaumont-native southern artist, Johnny Cocoa has debuted the music video for his new single release “Green Light.”

Directed by OShotYou, the music video follows themes of living true to oneself as the video opens to Johnny being scolded by a woman whom he simply can’t be bothered. He’s then presented with the infamous red pill / blue pill dilemma by Obama referencing The Matrix Trilogy, ultimately choosing the red pill, meaning he prefers to live life knowing its fullest truths rather than live a lie.

The track, produced by Grammy-winner Nes who produced for Bryson Tiller and Cardi B with Grammy-nominated 13x platinum producer Ambezza who produced for Drake, Lil Baby, Young Thug, and more, follows his recently dropped EP project I AM WHO I AM.  The EP which just saw it’s first anniversary alongside the album’s Chopped & Screwed iteration with GRAMMY-nominated producer and fellow Texas legend, OG Ron C. The album features Johnny’s massively successful breakout single “On God” which earned the attention and public cosign from musical icons Drake and Ye.
