ZooNation is creating a new show at the Royal Opera House for winter 2014.

6 December 2014 – 3 January 2015 is the date set for the run of Mad Hatter’s T Party, based upon the characters of Lewis Carroll’s Alice In Wonderland.

The new show was announced as part of the Royal Opera House’s 2014/2015 season earlier this week and is also billed as “an interactive show perfect for all the family” which will take place in the Linbury Studio Theatre.

The show contrasts the ballet Alice taking place on the main stage as part of their Christmas 2014 programming.

ZooNation was behind Groove On Down The Road, a hip hop dance version of the musical The Wiz using dancers from the company’s youth group at the Southbank Centre in London, the musical theatre show Some Like It Hip Hop, and most popular for Into the Hoods.

ZooNation’s founder and choreographer Kate Prince also choreographed the X Factor musical I Can’t Sing taking place at the London Palladium.

A cast for Mad Hatter’s T Party has yet to be announced.

ZooNation: Mad Hatter’s T Party synopsis

ZooNation burst onto the stage with their family Christmas show, a wonderfully wacky take on the madcap characters of Lewis Carroll’s Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland.

Psychotherapist Ernest arrives at an antiquated mental hospital on his first job after graduating from the Institution of Proper Appropriate Behaviour. He’s assigned to the patients in West Wing Ward W – all of whom claim to come from a place called Wonderland. Ernest disrupts the ward’s never-ending tea party to insist on a ‘T for Therapy’ party that no one may leave until they’re all properly normal.
