You may remember the Bad Boys and K Love for their beatbox rendition of the Muppets song ‘Veronica’ and the Inspector Gadget themed ‘Bad Boys’ from 1985, or the jaunty delights of ‘Here I Reign’ from 88, but it turns out that they also hold the honor of being the first crew to rap over Can’s ‘Vitamin C’ on this vaulted acetate that was originally intended to come out on Idlers, with the other Tony D on production. How is it that no one ever managed to make even a minor hit record out of that loop?

Their discogs page also features an entry for an acetete pressing of their unreleased album from 1990, which someone has taken the time to scan and list without sharing any of the audio, which hardly seems in the spirit of the internetS, does it? I guess I could attempt to ask the group directly, since a couple of them are they’re still kicking around as this footage from 2018, complete with K Love, indicates.
