Favourite enigmatic producers Flight Facilities have solicited world-class mates once again for music video ‘Down to Earth’.
The title track of last year’s massive album, the video features sassy actor Sam Rockwell (from some of our favourites such as The Green Mile and Seven Psychopaths). The boys, keeping their no show trend going – remained the backseat drivers.
“It started as a fantasy idea in the park 6 months ago and we still can’t believe it’s happened.” The boys said. “It couldn’t be more appropriate that the song is ‘Down To Earth’ because it speaks to Sam’s character in every aspect of his involvement in the project.”
Down to earth indeed, as Rockwell gets extremely funky. Drifting off into diner dance dreams, the video throws back to Fatboy Slim x Christopher Walken vibes. The jaunty spectacle was directed by Rhett Wade Ferell – whom has also taken on videos for Bag Raiders, Flume and Miami Horror. Joined by choreographer Vincent Paterson who’s taken on Madonna and Michael Jackson – Rockwell is injected with grooves that are almost too funky to function.
“I really, really liked the song, and it was an honour to work with legendary choreographer Vincent Paterson.” Said Rockwell. “I’m the kinda guy that likes to shake my tail feather, and so it was a great opportunity to get some new moves, especially to such a sweet beat.”
