You're Slacking, this 16 year old runs his own vinyl label

Detroit teen Jarett Koral has been slinging wax for the past two years in Motor City, what are you doing? Ok, to be clear his mum is the official ‘president’ because HE’S NOT OLD ENOUGH. You hear me right, the guy has pressed releases in the double digits including Macaulay Culkin’s recent joke/band The Pizza Underground (pls refrain from Home Alone jokes ppl)

“I’m not really making a ton of money with it, but it’s cool and I have something to show for it.”

We’ve recently seen loads of young kids who have mastered the art of pressing buttons and wielding vengeance samples on Ableton, but this guy has some real style. By giving new meaning to saving your lunch money, the young Koral is my idol of the week. Sacrificing some of his own collection at the age of 14, he counted pennies to invest around 2k per release. Make sure to follow Jet Plastic Records and grab a 7″ for your guilty pleasures.

Keep in mind Records Store Day 2015 #RSD2015 is just around the corner on April 18th. Got any plans?
