We pointed out the “don’ts”, now let’s do the “do’s”.
A few suggestions we came up with, in no particular order:
#10 SHOW UP TO JAMS ON TIME
Great way to STOP complaining about there being no cyphers or jams running late.
#9 RESPECT THE VENUE / ESTABLISHMENT
Pick up after yourself. No one wants to pick up your dirty, sweaty, and smelly t-shirt.
#8 BRING YOUR GIRL “FRIENDS” TO JAMS
Because bboys do dance better when girls are watching and they make jams more enjoyable.
#7 SOCIALIZE / NETWORK
By doing so, you might land a couch on the other side of the world.
#6 TRAVEL TO JAMS
It’s what you call REAL “support”. Don’t wait to get “flown out”, seek the adventure.
#5 SUPPORT YOUR VENDORS
These are the people / brands supporting you. “Mall” brands don’t give a crap about you.
#4 ONLY ENTER COMPETITIONS IF YOU RESPECT JUDGES
Saves you the hassle of crying and complaining at the jam and on Facebook.
#3 CYPHER
Because it’s what we come to do. Dance, get loose, catch wreck, go off and so on.
#2 DANCE ON BEAT
Tisk..tisk…. Some of you need dancing lessons… Also, WAIT FOR THE BEAT TO DROP BEFORE
YOU GO OFF ON YOUR TOP ROCK. That’s the “intro” not the “break”.
#1 HAVE FUN
Peace love unity and what? HAVING FUN. This culture is truly about achieving something positive while having a blast.
Honorable mention..
This one barely made the cut,
#11 PRAY TO THE BREAKIN ILLUMINATI
All the dope bboys are doing it………
